A. Descriptions
Tech-PE is colorless or white, hygroscopic, odorless. It is soluble in water, not soluble in Benzene Aether Petro-aether. Boiling point 276℃(40.7Kpa), melting point 262℃,density 1.35g/cm, refractive index 1.54-1.56.
B. Aplication:
It is mainly used in the manufacture of Alkyd resins, fatty acid rosin and tall oil esters and to make paint and coatings, printing ink, coating adhesives, explosives, sealants, varnish, lacquer, vinyl chloride, synthetic rubber and miscellaneous including pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN), urethane coatings, flame retardant paints, polyvinyl chloride stabilizers, olefins antioxidant and pentaerythritol triacrylate.
C. Producing technics:
pentaerythritol is made by the reaction of formaldehyde and aldehyde under
the presence of sodium hydroxide.
D. Packing:
pentaerythritol is packed in pvc bag, normaly its net weight is 25+-0.2kgs.
E. Storage procedures
store in a cool,dry,well ventilated area away from sunlight and inco***tible
materials.
